Cub Scout Handbooks

The handbook is a necessary guide for you and your scout to keep track of accomplishments and guide them down the path of the Bobcat trail, the arrow point trail, and the trail associated with their age group (tiger, wolf, bear, etc.). I recommend you make a special trip with your scout to the scout store located at 1340 South Bend Ave. (SR 23) South Bend, IN 46617. Here, you will find almost everything you need to complete your scout's uniform, as well handbooks and other scouting accessories. It will be fun, and you’ll get to spend quality time with your scout. The staff is very knowledgeable and can help you find exactly what you need.

The Lasalle Council Scout Shop has a web site located at http://www.lasallecouncilbsa.org/Scout%20Shop. Here you will find useful information such as store hours, phone numbers, email addresses, and directions. There is also a link to an online store at http://www.scoutstuff.org/.

If you do not wish to buy a book right now, cannot get one before your first meeting, or simply wish to see what it is all about, you can download the books in PDF format free of charge from www.scouting.org. You can peruse or print the pages. They are also handy to keep on your mobile device for quick reference. To view them, you will need the latest Adobe Acrobat Reader program located at www.adobe.com. As Adobe Reader is free program download, and has promotional partners, make sure you carefully read and check or un-check any option boxes during the process to avoid unwanted additional software downloads. You can find Adobe Reader for your mobile devices in the Apple or Google app store, depending on your phone or tablet model. I will list the links to the individual PDF handbook files below. Simply click to open them.

Update

*The scout handbooks are no longer available in PDF format. They have been removed from the BSA site, and any sites hosting copies have been asked to remove them. They must now be purchased in hard copy only. If they become available in the future, I will update the links.*
